Anyone saying animal life is equal to human life in moral or spiritual value is pretty absurd, although that statement has nothing to do with this video.
It's permissible to kill animals for humans to survive. It`s also permissible to kill plant life. I like animals as much as the next person, whether it`s at the zoo or on the dinner table, but I don`t believe in any womanish anthropomorphizing.

@DixxyRarr: It's extremely distressing to hear from someone who might otherwise sound reasonably intelligent say that they don`t believe non-human animals have souls.
I try not to judge life based on value. Of course we humans *tend* to hold the lives of our fellow humans more dearly than the lives of other animals, but that doesn`t mean they truly are more valuable, or that it`s right. I`d be ashamed to say I believed so, if I did.

mrsdoctorwho: I love animals very much... I have an undergraduate degree in Fisheries and Wildlife and a master's in Environmental Urban Planning... I plan to work for environmental justice my whole life and that`s how I show my love for the earth and the animals in it.
But- humans more than animals. Every time. It`s because I believe humans have souls, and that animals don`t. And if you don`t agree with that, that`s fine... it`s a very debatable situation. But I mourn for humans because they had families and friends that LOVED them. They had hopes, dreams, fears, secret wishes, and secret lovers, they could make people laugh and make them cry. And also I am one- I can relate to life and pain and loss and the general human condition... as ORGNCHEMST said: They are my brothers and sisters. Do I think human`s are worth more than animals? Yes.
Think about someone that you loved that has died, and then an animal that you`ve lost. Who would you ask to see one more time?
