Basically, anyone foolish or gullible enough to believe myths #10 through #2 were true, deserves to be fooled by his "correction" to myth #1.

Why the F would you think that blood is blue in the body?
By putting these things together:
1) Any blood vessel most people see on a day to day basis appears to be carrying blue blood (although I've heard that they can appear green with the right shade of skin colour and the right light levels).
2) Blood is red outside of the body.
3) Blood carries oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body.
From (3), conclude that blood coming back to the lungs doesn`t have oxygen in it because it`s delivered it all. That`s what blood does, right?
From that conclusion and (1), conclude that deoxygenated blood is blue.
From that conclusion and (2), conclude that it becomes red by absorbing oxygen (a *very* reactive element) from the air.
It`s completely wrong, but it`s not nonsense that only an idiot would think is true.
