too much but entertainment is the common mans escape from his pooty drudgery middle class life. Without some release what's the point of working so hard when you still can`t even afford the little things. They would if the distribution of wealth was different but I digress.
Like someone else said, I`ve gone back to books. I cancelled my tv, netflix, everything but my net and I spend my money on books. They are better for your mind, imagination, and pocketbook.

If people could easily afford movies and music they would pay for it. Loius CK charged 5 bucks for his last special and pulled a cool mil. Paid for production(250k), that much more in bonuses for the people who helped make it, 300k to charity and 200k for him. Could he have made more? Ya, and then some despite pirates. That's called distributing wealth while still pulling a profit without being greedy. It`s the ideal way capitalism works. Sadly, these companies charge as much as possible without losing the majority of sales, pay as little as possible to the low end workers, rake in cash hand over fist and then waste half that to buy off politicians to impede on normal peoples freedoms to try and stop the small percentage of stealing. It does add up but most people still pay. The fact that they push the price up as far as they can without losing the majority means they still exclude a small (growing fast) group of people who can`t afford it. It`s not right to steal even if they charge

This is like shutting down FedEx and arresting it's top people because some people send illegal items with their services. So long as they aren`t intentionally helping people to do so and are doing what they can to stop it (ie removing it when they become aware of it which they do if I`m not mistaken) I don`t see how it`s their fault if some people are abusing it.
