North Korea has dug hidden tunnels under the DMZ (Only a few have been found) they could easily capture the majority of South's armaments, and ours too, on that peninsula and it would take months for us to haggle and form a `coalition` to do anything about it.
So not-so-secret tunnels = force multiplier, I find that logic incredibly fuzzy.

Read a dictionary, there`s a difference between "isolationist" and "non-interventionist". Also overexertion of a country`s military ACTUALLY makes said country weak.

Hitler`s Germany and Hirohito`s Japan were once underestimated as well, and the Maginot line, was Patton once said, "Fixed fortifications are monuments to the stupidity of man..", as is the current DMZ.
Yes, we would eventually destroy North Korea, but not before Seoul was left in ruins and we lost thousands of men. Not to mention it would piss China off royally.
