@CrakrJak, is it more delusional than thinking that one nation can prevent the entire world from repeating histroy without driving itself into eventual collapse?

Lastly Hitler and Hirohito were busy conquering the world, meanwhile the Kim regime is busy trying to keep its citizens from escaping.

North Korea has dug hidden tunnels under the DMZ (Only a few have been found) they could easily capture the majority of South's armaments, and ours too, on that peninsula and it would take months for us to haggle and form a `coalition` to do anything about it.

So not-so-secret tunnels = force multiplier, I find that logic incredibly fuzzy.

Read a dictionary, there`s a difference between "isolationist" and "non-interventionist". Also overexertion of a country`s military ACTUALLY makes said country weak.
and the Maginot line, was Patton once said, "Fixed fortifications are monuments to the stupidity of man..", as is the current DMZ.
Hitler invaded France via Belgium, which the Maginot line was NOT extended to.

patchgrabber: The only thing I fear is this world going to sh|t because some isolationist like Ron Paul thinks history won't repeat itself.

Cajun: Your assessment of the North Korean military is bullsh|t, North Korea has dug hidden tunnels under the DMZ (Only a few have been found) they could easily capture the majority of South`s armaments, and ours too, on that peninsula and it would take months for us to haggle and form a `coalition` to do anything about it.

Hitler`s Germany and Hirohito`s Japan were once underestimated as well, and the Maginot line, was Patton once said, "Fixed fortifications are monuments to the stupidity of man..", as is the current DMZ.

Yes, we would eventually destroy North Korea, but not before Seoul was left in ruins and we lost thousands of men. Not to mention it would piss China off royally.

It`s better that we stay prepared and vigilant and not isolationist, Isolationism makes a country appear weak.

That was said during the Vietnam War.

Actually we could've defeated the North if we really wanted to. The problem was we didn`t want to start a war with China.
