I'm curious as to why the pellet gun didn`t have some kind of orange cap or marking indicating that it was a pellet gun and not a firearm. I thought it was required that all toy guns or any sort had that to indicate to law enforcement that it`s just a toy. The article didn`t say he painted to gun or somehow removed the cap, but I`m under the assumption he did.

I see a lot of people asking why the police don't use non lethal weapons to subdue suspects with guns or knifes. The reason for this is if you get tazed and you are holding a fire arm your fist will automatically clench and will result in the disscharge of the firearm, if the person has a knife he could fall on the blade. Using pepper spray doesn`t always work and can infact make the suspect angry and more willing to fire blindly. Any time a person of any age is holding a gun and refuses to put it down and then aims it at police they are required to shoot first and ask questions later, there could be innocent people in the background.
