5Cats: "The tricky part, the part ALL abortionists avoid, is the unique DNA it has to make it a seperate human being than the mother."
Huh? They don't avoid it, it`s simply irrelevant. It`s still the mother`s body that the zygote/ morula/ blastocyst/ gastrula/ .../ fetus is developing in, and she should have a right to decide if she wants to allow that or not. Different DNA doesn`t and shouldn`t mean the mother has no rights as to what happens in her own body. Also, a ball of cells does not equal a human being.
Finally, please do not equate people who believe in abortion rights with abortionists, those are two different terms. Just because I believe in abortion rights for the mother (up to a certain stage in development), doesn`t make me an abortionist. Using inappropriate and biased terms is a cheap debate tactic.

Cancer cells have different DNA then the rest of your body's cells, iirc.
Well, not really. Most types cancerous cells aren`t foreign growths, they`re just body cells that are malfunctioning and growth isn`t able to be stopped. There are many different mechanisms that cause this, but generally it is the same DNA, although there might be a SNP that is causing the problem.

@Patchy @ @HiEv: I don't say DNA=Human I DO say that the claim "MY body MY right" is false because the fetus has different DNA than the mother after a very early stage. OBVIOUSLY the fetus is human, has human DNA and will grow into a human given time & good fortune, eh? The tricky part, the part ALL abortionists avoid, is the unique DNA it has to make it a seperate human being than the mother.
@GRadde: Cancer cells have different DNA then the rest of your body`s cells, iirc. While a fetus won`t (usually) kill the host, cancer often will.

Many abortion clinics serve the very people who were protesting at their doors the day before... Yeah, you just keep telling yourself that.

"You do know that oak trees can self-pollinate, right?"
not sure what you are replying to exactly other than the part you quoted, but, you do know that something self-pollinating or giving birth using only its own DNA in NO WAY makes the offspring genetically identical, right?
