just what we need. facebook knows too much as it is. next they'll tie that in with insurance, etc, and show you as a high risk for doing something stupid. or the law will ask for the non-medical records when you go to court of something you tried to do to yourself - and bang your in jail or whatever for something that wasn`t any of their business. more so, facebook is often the cause of the suicide in the first place.
maybe they should looking out for those kids who want to shoot others, or blow stuff up.
two of my friends on fb committed suicide, announcing it first on fb (both saying something along the lines of "sorry everyone...etc") and one leaving a note so sometimes people do announce it, but still wanna die.

I think it's brilliant. If the friend is not serious and just wants attention, they`ll get annoyed with the e-mails and stop their shenanigans. People who are serious will be getting the help they need.

@slut_etta, not true. There have been quite a few people who have announced their plans to commit suicide via facebook and have followed through. We now live in a world where a status update is the equivalent of leaving a note.

stupid. anyone who has ever been actively serious about ending their own life (yes) will tell you that a true suicide will never, ever come out and 'tell`. because if you do that, someone will come into your life and thwart your plans, and if you`re serious, you don`t want your plans phukked with.
completely different scenario if you vacillate and truly want the help.
