This guy is in the wrong. If he did not post the holiday hours sooner than he is kind of obligated to stay open the stores normal hours. All this nonsense about him having a family is irrelevant. You do the job your paid to do or don't complain when you get reprimanded.

People act like they are humanitarians during Christmas and turn around the next day and treat you like sub-servile scum.
If you or a friend are like this do the rest of us a favor, shoot yourself in the head.....FILTH!

He should have planned ahead and posted earlier closing hours, but I don't really sympathize with the customers all that much. People are so used to convenience that they feel entitled to it, and freak out when they don`t get things their way. On the one hand, I don`t blame Wal Mart if they fire him, but on the other, I don`t blame the manager for not giving a fcuk. They are a notoriously pooty employer. I just hope he`s got another job lined up or plenty of cash in savings.

Guess what people, here is the magic phase that I want you all to learn "a business has the right to refuse service".
Now there are times where this is disputed because of ethnic, sexual orientation or religious views but if you stay away from those being the reason then its probably in their right. However, I haven't seen to many cases with them refusing service over closing time but I would imagine the court would side with Wal Mart. It`s their business, you have to play by their rules.
