@duffy: iirc it was the mid-late 80s. After Time went whole-hog against Reagan, and he swept the re-election, and then the Soviet Union disbanded, Time never recovered.
They just kept up the same pro-left line, even though the rest of the USA had gotten tired of it. Oh sure they still sell copies, but relevance? Long gone.

yeah, yeah - When did TIME magazine stop being relevant? Any of you older IAB'ers remember? Was it mid-eighties, or did it make it clear into the nineties?
