The way i see it, if you KNOW it is a terrible present, and in this case, if you are doing it purely for reaction, then the real mosters here are not the children, but the adult. Experiments of the mental stability of children like this are actually quite cruel.
BUT!!! this is what happens when you lose so many people of your faith. The holiest day of your year turns into a cooperate money sinks that have clouded what Christmas used to be about. If you celebrate Christmas for nothing more than the presents, then you should not be celebrating. It is just another day in another month in another year. Those who actually feel sad they didnt get what they want for Christmas need to seriously have their goddamn morals checked.
I am not Christian, not do I support Christianity. But i do recognize that Christmas is supposed to be a Holy day for the followers of the man whos name is the first syllable in the word.

gcghost - Do you think an acceptable way to handle that would be throwing a tantrum and telling the boss they were the worst boss ever?

Wow. All you people coming down on the kids, let me ask you this. How would you feel if your boss told you that your company would be handing out Christmas bonuses and when you got your check the bonus was a candy stuck in the envelope with your check? I'd love to see YOUR reactions then.
