A few days ago, on another large user-submission/comment site (which shall remain nameless) there was a big circle-jerk of people challenging each other to donate to Doctors Without Borders, followed with much self-satisfied back-patting about how much money was raised. Now, DWB is a worthy cause, but, really, real need exists right in your own community, and you needn't look far to be charitable.....
