Maybe it was suppose to be fake blood, if so they failed on the color.
Colours on masks and face paint mean things in traditional Japanese theatre. I vaguely recalled the use of face paint, so I looked it up earlier in this thread. Pale red signifies youth, cheerfulness or optimism. A bit darker red indicates determination, passion, vigour. Seems to fit.

For one the color of the red has why to much violet color in it to be blood. It is paint. Maybe it was suppose to be fake blood, if so they failed on the color.

it's definitely some kind of face paint. you can see it on her face before she even falls. and the other lady was all painted up as well.
