You know what's the worst thing? then gay kids like this one kill themselves, and primitive homophobics attribute that to homosexuality itself rather than the social backlash they bring onto them. The bully is a less-obvious victim though: it takes parents to teach guys how to hate, or let go of any intolerance. Religion is indeed child abuse.

If a vandalized church was discovered somewhere with the message, "Str8 wyte male Krisshuns get out," scrawled in pig's blood on the altar, then the perpetrators, no matter who they were, would be charged with a Hate crime.
If you really think they would be charged with hate crime, you are so naive.

"Government approved group" you say, and yet this distinction does not exist.
If a vandalized church was discovered somewhere with the message, "Str8 wyte male Krisshuns get out," scrawled in pig's blood on the altar, then the perpetrators, no matter who they were, would be charged with a Hate crime.
To translate the legalese into the common vernacular- "Targeting & terrorizing *any* class of people is not cool bro."
First, thanks for the guidelines to the use of the apostrophe.
Secondly, are you arguing that motive shouldn't count? for me it does, if i see someone beating the crap out of his kid, and i ask that person why and he gives me two answers:
1: the kid got drunk, "borrowed" the car and nearly killed himself and or someone else.
2: because the parent got drunk and thought his kid made a smartass comment.
in case one, whilst beating the crap out of your kid might not be the best way, i could completely understand the parent.
in case two, i would be very much inclined to beat the crap out of the parent, and show the kid which number to call to get out of that situation.
Not all crimes are equal, therefore not all punishment should be equal.
