Hopefully that was sarcasm as I GUARANTEE you he is stronger than you.

It's a well known fact in bodybuilding/ cardio training etc that people that can lift their weight on the bench press... or even twice their weight are ten a penny but PULL UPS are perhaps the most under-performed activity. Most gym-goers are capable of lifting several hundred pounds on the bench press but ask them to do a pull up and they might only manage half a dozen at most.
