BUT- I will always respect The Simpsons like I respect my crazy old grandpa who doesn`t make much sense anymore. Also, the article was super gross in the fact that he actually thinks he has a normal perspective on money/hardship/injustice etc and what`s important in life. And looking for sympathy from the `other 99%`.... barking up the wrong tree there, pal.

Without them the show would never have succeeded. They may not deserve the high salary they have, as shearer stated int he letter (which you obviously didnt read) but they DO deserve a fair share of the profits.

The show has been on for 23 years but it stopped being funny 10 years ago. Also, the spoiled casts of television shows are always absurd. They make more money in one week than many people will ever see in their lifetimes and they still want more.

From grade 1 in 1991 to grade 4 in 1994, I watched the new episodes as they came on once a week, without argument the best seasons ever made were 2-3-4. Grade 5-7 I was moving around, and didn't have fancy cable, so I caught reruns. Grade 8-12 I had a schedule from 3:00pm after school, until 10 at night, I watched 4 hours of Simpsons by channel surfing, and I had a break to do my homework in the midst of it. I can definitely watch any old episode and laugh and quote all the significant quotes... "S-U-C-C-E-E-S That`s the way you spell succe...WHOAAA!"
