if you listen to "rap" most of that is poo anyway...you need "hip hop" or "underground" anymore unless you are listening to the older rap...
cant believe im going to look back and tell my grandchildren "back in my day we had Lil Wayne, Drake, and Nicki Minaj..."...ill just use Mos Def, R.A. The Rugged Man, and Wu Tang Clan instead i guess...

There's a lot of terrible rap music out there- that`s true but there`s also a lot of really amazing artists out there. Listen to someone like Talib Kweli that actually has a message behind his words and I honestly think Eminem`s Recovery is one of the best rap albums we`ve seen in years.
McGovern1981, if you think it required no talent at all, try bringing up a song on karaoke and try to spit lyrics along with them- let`s see you pull it off with no talent.
Now try to write your own words and bring your own heart to it and see how easy it is to do.
