He actually went to UVA (the most pretentious, overrated, snobby school in the country), not Va. Tech! Not a Tech fan, I just grew up in a house with 3 UVA fans and I really hate hearing about how allegedly "great/elite" of a school it is.

Football doesn't work around their schedules


Neither does holding a job to pay for your education. Games should have nothing to do with a persons funding for education games are not classes.

McGovern1981, Yes, but whereas honors students graduate in about 4 years, a football player will graduate in 6. This is due to practice every morning and in the afternoons. Football doesn't work around their schedules, their schedules work around football. Not to mention if they get injured, most scholarships go right out the window.

All of this so they can bring your college some glory and prestige (and also money).

And his tutition is payed for while the honor students have to work practically full time....
