Hi Grindinblade, like I said the other day I don't see this as any great leap forward... it`s just using a kinect as a very poor mouse substitute.
I do get the point you made before to me about hands free control in a sterile environment, but this application of the kinect is just someone reinventing the wheel just for the sake of using a kinect to do it. It doesn`t give you anything else that hasn`t been done before with better control.
There are lots of novel ways good developers have found of using the kenect hardware to offer something really new, but I feel for every person doing that, there are a hundred or so just using it because it`s there rather than it adds value to the application - this feels like one of those times. Hands free computer operation has been around for decades - yet now there`s a glut of lazy programmers who`ve got hold of a kinect thinking they`re creating something unique when it isn`t.
