I'm 6`1 and 180 at a size 13/14 is healthy for me...for the males wanting to comment on this.. you have no clue how retailers and women`s actual sizes work. Every woman is different. I have to go to three different places for jeans that are long and big enough, and a bizillion damn places for shirts because I have a large chest, long torso, and broad shoulders. No ONE brand can fit just every female out there.

Even though I can see where she maybe was initially coming from with her whole protest, I think she went about it in a completely wrong fashion.
How many women who entered the contest earnestly do you think she upset?
I find the pictures she took for it endlessly entertaining, but she probably did more to hurt women's self esteem than help it in really.

"For some reason, though, you're ignoring that, in the majority of cases, an 8 or 10 is significantly healthier than a 12 or 14. "
OK that is bull right there. A woman whose 5`6 and a size 12 may be thinner than a woman who is 5`1 and a size 10. The difference between fat and thin isn`t the difference between size 10 and 12.

"THIS is what's wrong with the mentality in this country. you automatically assume that "full-figured" means "fat." it DOESN`T. full-figured means you have a bit of meat on your bones, and curves in all the right places. it means you don`t starve yourself to fit into a size 0, but you`re not a size 24 either."
If you look at the picture of Ms. Upton, though, she has curves in all the right places, and quite a few of the wrong ones.
You see, curvy means two curves, T&A. Think Christina Hendricks.
Curvy does not mean ten curves, Chin, Chin, back tits, front tits, roll, roll, gut, gunt, ass and thighs.
And again, you`re right. Someone 0 or smaller may very well be less healthy than someone 24 or larger.
For some reason, though, you`re ignoring that, in the majority of cases, an 8 or 10 is significantly healthier than a 12 or 14.
