We`ll things like this might happen more and more if America`s unemployment level rises. I hope Obama`s job plan works.

I support Kalimata.

I think Americans are most disgusted with the fact that their taxes would go to pay for someone else's medical needs. I would gladly let some of my taxes go to making sure the people I share this land with stay healthy. I may not use the healthcare system enough to get my personal moneys worth, but in the long run it`s worth it.

You probably see it like mandatory gratuities. I see it more like raising our standard of health.

I have trouble understanding the all out freakfest that some are having over the prospect of a government provided health care system.

It's either one extreme or the other for some of you. You can have social aid networks without becoming the Soviet Union for Buddha`s sake. Seriously, providing care for everyone is not a bad thing.

I will never understand the Conservative point of view on this. They are fanatically patriotic, but feel that you are responsible for only yourself. The whole purpose of a country is that it can better protect and provide for its citizens than individual states. States are better at it than individual cities, and cities better than single family homes, and families better than individuals.

We have failed when the least powerful among us are denied their very lives.

I pay for my own health insurance (I'm self-employed). It`s only $79/month.
