I can't wait till the day when we discover that the periodic table is primitive and that it`s only a tiny bit of the elements that are possible. watch, one day, we`ll study some samples from space and be like, "holy crap! the table is like 100 times bigger and has 100 times more to it than we thought!"

People have studied samples from space (directly and via data gathered from stars). There are more elements on Earth than out there, because some elements have been made in labs.

There appear to be reasons why elements don`t naturally occur with larger numbers of protons in the nucleus. Certainly not 100 times as many.

It might happen, but I wouldn`t wait for it.

SlothOfDoom, after listening to your clip (and some other Sagan clips for comparison) one definitely is left with the impression what's being said is poetry, and I can`t believe I`m gonna say this but, romantic even. (I`m floored I just said that).

Why would you auto-tune the voice of Morgan Freeman? =|
