Looks like he was upset for not being able to bust him and make himself look better. The guy in car sounded quite calm and respectful. Either this guy was having a bad day, or he was disappointed for not making a name for himself or filling his quota.

Gary1of1 and robosnitz - i work in california, and L.E. here is much more progressive here. We have indipendant auditors to moniter our behavior, strict ethical standards, and genuinly strive for a higher degree of professionalism. The "Old-School" cop is rapidly becoming a thing of the past. I'm not denying that things like this happen, but I am saying that people like this get fired - which they deserve. As a liberal cop, i find things like this very frustrating.

tobyvictory- i would like to start with a quote:
"Today's hardliner on crime is yesterday`s liberal that was mugged last night." -Ronald Regan
I see your jumping to a few conclusions in your statement, but for someone who lives in asia and is so far removed from the reality of the situation, that`s understandable. But please understand that we work a thankless job, and it makes it even harder when people take such an anti-Law Enforcement attitude when we work so hard for the citizens. The honnest police officers in the field find this extreamly frustrating, and it isn`t fair to lump us into one stereotype.
Oh, and ogga boogga boogga! The MAN is out to get you...lol

zumtut "(that's why only a small ammount of us wind up in the news)"
I beg to differ. Unless you`re a politician using some new fangled fuzzy math, the percentage of law enforcement who gets into trouble is NOT a small amount. Every day there are at least 10 new stories about cops getting arrested or they`re being investigated. Figuring there are about 1,000,000 local, state and federal cops on the streets and giving the border line corrupt pigs the benefit of the doubt, that`s 3,500 pigs per year. that`s might not sound like a big number until you compare it with other statistics "such as" my entire city employs only about 250. I know there are few departments wholly corrupt, so that means there are corrupt cops on every force, just like in all other walks of life, but most other walks of life we do not need to depend on, nor do they carry a badge and a gun.
