@Angilion, sorry, the question was only rhetorical ... the point really is that no matter what kind of orthography you are used to, it is as it is not because it's correct, but only because it has evolved this way due to historical circumstances. yet we usually consider our way of writing to be correct because we are used to it (and then look for reasons to justify it, `because we wrote like this first`, `because it`s more logical`, `because divine inspiration and/or a chinese fortune cookie told us so` etc. etc. etc.
