You don`t know what the word in question is and you wouldn`t be able to read it if you did, so why are you claiming to know what it means? You`ve found one person who agrees with you. I don`t consider that proof that you`re right.

The passage was, obviously, written in Arabic. "consummation" is a translation into English. "consummation" means "completion". It can be used to refer to the completion of the marriage started by betrothral (which is a partial marriage, not at all like an engagement). In England centuries later, it implied sex as that was what completed the marriage there and then. It`s a common mistake in etymology to assume that the meaning of a word in one place at one time is exactly the same as the meaning of the word in a different place at a different time. That is often not true, especially for secondary implied meanings. Assuming that it`s an accurate translation in the first place, which it might or might not be.
