I wish more kids would get their asses spanked. I'm tired of this BS reasoning thing going on, where I have to listen to you yell at your kid and try to negotiate with him as to why he shouldn`t be damaging my store`s property, or annoying half of my shoppers.

I'm not christian, but was raised that way, and I`ll say that yes, spanking and discipline work. I was spanked with a belt. It wasn`t a common occurance but when it happened I deserved it and I learned my lesson. More kids need that.
That being said, there is definitely a line beyond which it goes from a form of discipline to something outrageously excessive. Listen to this article hell, I wouldn`t even complain about the book that the tennessee couple wrote.
Those parents "discipline" ran about 6 hours and 55 minutes longer then could possibly have been necessary. 7 hours of beatings? blaming that crap on the authors of a book is merely trying to shift blame from the fact that they were outrageously overzealous and/or sadistic.

not every christian family does this. So it would be unfair to say "Religion is a mental disorder" as if to say every religious person does this. I am a single woman who has not yet had a child. But I often think of how I would raise my child if I were to get married and have one, and it is difficult to figure out, however I know that if God would bless me with a marriage and a child that I would try to do what is best for them and hurting them doesn't seem like the best for them. However my mom disciplined us when we did something wrong, I never got more than a belt beating, and I learned my lessons quickly, and I grew up having love for God and my mom.
