I do the razor one, but I use the underside of my forearm instead of jeans (no, I don't cut, smart alecks). Just pushing the razor up my arm four or five times before I shave lengthens the life of each head by weeks or months.

cutting sandpaper will DULL scissors, not aharpen them: scissors and similar toold should only be sharpened on the bevel side, not the flat sides. the flat sides need to have the closest contact with each other possible, for better shearing. also, under 200 grit is far from a fine grit! 600 grit or higher is what is consideres a fine grit. shearing tools like scissors come sharpened to around 1600 or similar grit (when using sandpaper standards).
