I have to say that I'm tired of hearing this crap about men being superficial and that male who are attracted to women is a solely cultural construction. First, we are wired this way: we find women beautifull for their appearances first, and if this relation goes further, we end up liking her personality and her intelligence. It`s logical: can you juge of someones intelligence if she just appears to you, without real conversation? Secondly, feminists would want us to think that attractiveness is culturally constructed. This is false because sexual attraction is wired by biology/psyvchology too. Cause, if it were cultrally constructed, wouldn`t we all want the same woman, and for women, the same man? Love is then based on personnal feelings and desires who are shaped by biology, by our relation to our parents and yes, a bit is cultural. The best example of this is the fact that afro americans still want the big booty, while ideology portraits beauty being white and slim. think about it!
