I guess you`re obviously not an athlete. Those nets work in a similar fashion as a satellite dish redirecting towards the center point. They are quiet rigid around the edges and soft in the center, which means the ball pretty much comes back toward a central point each time unless you go way to the outside of the net.
That said... I think it`s faked. Not because of any physics reasons but because the kid with the bat tells the guy adjusting the net "that`s good" right at the start of the video... They`d have done 20 dry runs before filming if this were legit and had each net already in place.
