My daughter left her wallet with her cards, money, iD, oyster card etc on a London bus last year. The wallet was home before she was- complete with all its contents. Most people are honest and kind- it is the small minority who are not - it is a shame when we meet one of them.
I agree. I work in a business with a lot of cash and it's not all that uncommon to have loose cash handed in by a customer who found it. Customer A drops a £20 note, customer B finds it later and hands it in. Wallets and purses are very likely to be handed in.
