yeah, the not having current id was silly of him. understandable if the trip was thrown on him spur of the moment, but really, why don't you have a current id?

What a dick. Boo hoo. I'm not one of Jerry`s Kids! Then get your sorry ass to the gate. Any of Jerry`s Kids could get there on their own. Expired ID? Oh, you are blind, that`s OK. Ever here of the Blind Sheik? Where can I get a braile iPhone to check my Facebook.

Thanks for the explanation Cobra... yeah, I can see that may make some sense. Although that's probably the same for a UK driver`s licence too, which was never queried whilst i was over there. I was told by one doorman that he wouldn`t take my passport as ID because it didn`t have my height on it, but then instantly gave the OK to my photo driver`s licence even though that doesn`t have my height on it either.

listypoos, the reason that some bars dont accept passport as ID is because the doorman or bartender does not handle them often and cannot spot a forgery. when i was a doorman, we had to learn all local ID's (michigan, winsconsin, minnesota, illinois, etc.) as well as passports. we had a book for any other curveballs we were thrown.
