@AGit it is completely understandable to have thick skin and just shrug of the moronic tendencies of humans. This situation has added complication because what was an honest plea to not have their children, in public school, forced to go to bible study class. Which would've been fine if it was deity 101 or history of religion but it was not. Also the reason they left the town was not for the name calling but that their children were being isolated by the whole crazy ass community. So you see it`s not a problem of name calling. Pretty sure if everyone in town hated you and your children you`d move too, not even for yourself but for your kids.

thehitcher, it sounds like you don't understand it. Atheists do not "fight it out" with religious people. We are the peaceful, calm ones. We don`t really have a "side" in the normal meaning. We just are.

As an agnostic I don't want people showing up on my door peddling their religion, or telling me I`m going to hell...anymore than I`m going to tell them they`re "crazy/stupid/insert insult" for believing in God. This is the problem with too many Atheists today. They think because they don`t believe, they should Never, EVER have to see, read or experience ANYTHING Dealing with Religion. Bullsh*t. Get over it. As my ex used to say...If all those people are in Church on Sunday, at least they`re not on the street; It keeps them out of trouble *LOL* Even religion has it`s place. If you don`t want your kids hearing about God, enroll them in private school or start your own Educational Institute for the Separation of Education and Religion Academy. Brad & Angelina might even toss in a few bucks to help you start up
