17 meters is about 55,8 feet. Pretty high up!

I bet you that drating hurt. I did this recently; I weigh 108 and found a 250+ pound kid to launch me. I hit the water on my back... shifter two vertabrae to the left :[

17 meters is about 17 yards (19 to be more accurate, 1 Yard = 0.9144m). It's good to see that the last of the stupid-unit countries is trying to catch on (well, Nigeria is still left..). 1000mm = 1m, 1000m = 1km sounds a lot easier than 12" = 1` 3` = yard, and freaking 1796 yards is a mile... Would`ve thought that USA wuold`ve be the forerunner in this back in the freaking last century, but no, it`s more "A perfect inch, a perfect pint, The Anglo`s honest pound" like metric system was somer sort of evil curse.
