Its thirty-year mission: to explore the easiest to reach part of its home planet`s orbit, to launch defective satellites and return repeatedly to fix them, to boldly go where many men, apes and canines have gone before.

How soon we forget Pioneer 10 (72), Skylab (73), Apollo-Soyuz (75), Viking I (75), Voyager 2 (77), to name a few. My father worked on Apollo 11 & 12. I remember well the Earth rumbling when they tested the rocket engines in Huntsville, AL. I'm glad he passed before he could see this happening today. And this, people, is what a state gets when it votes for McCain rather than The One. The Astronaut is dead. Long Live the Cosmonaut.
