This touched me. I've always wanted to go into space. I can slowly feel my hate for this country rising.

Yay NASA! More space exploration please, less benefits for long-term unemployed.

Don't forget about the temperpedic beds, those are just lovely.

And NASA didn`t create Velcro it was sold to them by the Vulcans, I saw it in enterprise.

He has several good points, as do Pechorin. Live, NASA, live!

Frankly anyone who makes the old "why spend money up there when we have problems down here" argument is just ignorant. Anyone know the first part of NASA's mission statement?

"
To improve life here,
to extend life to there, to find life beyond."

Despite their efforts in space, NASA`s greatest contributions have always been to society here on Earth.

Some things we owe to NASA:
-Cell phones
-MRI technology
-DVDs
-Cordless tools
-Household smoke detectors
-Velcro
-Shoe insoles
-Bar code scanners
-Breathing system for firefighters
-Artificial heart pumps
-Robotic-assisted surgery
-Digital mammography

And more. Yeah, clearly a terrible waste of money.
