well crafted idiot...
Thanks for proving my earlier point, dumbass
You two may be eager to ditch law and order in favour of summary execution without trial by anyone who likes that sort of thing, but that says more about you than me. Sadly, it appears that you're more normal than I am. Personally, I`m glad that governments still disagree with those who favour murdering anyone accused of anything without bothering with a trial first. There are far too many people around nowadays who would have been right at home during the witch-hunting time and it`s worrying that their views are normal enough to be spewed onto the net at every opportunity with hardly anyone objecting.

@DarkMonkey: The goal of the cop was to get the situation under control as quickly as possible, which meant getting those cuffs on with no delay. He'd just arrived on the scene and for all he knew, the man was high on PCP and had a knife hidden on him. People sometimes snap when they realize they are about to be handcuffed and make a sudden struggle or a run for it. Exposing everyone on the scene to two or three seconds of additional risk--to avoid harming a ratty old backpack--would not have been worth it, in my opinion.
