Its simple: If you still have a GoPro you cant see this as a great cost factor. so the camera is undamaged. The only things you need to buy is the helium and the balloon. all the other stuff can be sold after the project. thats how you can realize it ;)

Just so you all know, It didnt enter space, it only left the stratosphere. Our Atmosphere is verry wide and just that you cant see the earth all in one shot means that it only got REALLY REALLY REALLY high up. Its still fantastic though.

The Go Pro hero is $259, so I'd really like to know where they bought a two GPS units, a powerful location transmitter, balloon and helium for minus $159.
