Ok, that's grounded enough calculation for me, thanks! However, it is only valid for a lone computer that is not interacting with the outside world.
But Internet IS interaction with the world. So for the calculation to be correct, we should trace the route from your computer to the Youtube server (routers, switches and all), then calculate how much resources you consume on each network device along the way (for instance 1/100th of average load on the first switch, 1/2000000th load on some core router etc), THEN multiply the consumed power of each device by this fraction, THEN determine how exactly the power for EACH of these devices is generated (because your traffic commonly traverses many countries, each one with different views on energy generation), THEN add up the pollution numbers.
Whew...
To summarise, it`s near friggin impossible for one computer, vastly different for each computer and therefore is an utterly meaningless number for

Airliners actually cool the earth by a degree, so there's that. Plus the fact that termites produce more Co2 than we do, just plant some more plants and trees, the earth is kinda built to handle it. In fact, we can`t create more oxygen without it, just saying, don`t panic.
