tap water in most areas is not dirty. but full of heavy metals. and unless you think chlorine is good for your body i would suggest you get a filter that isnt just a carbon filter. which is what most cheap water filters are. which doesnt do much, other then just remove enough chlorine to make it not taste like metal.

Get an inexpensive water filter for your kitchen faucet, <$20 at most stores, Buy a couple of 1 gallon pitchers, Attach filter, Fill pitchers, Place pitchers in refrigerator, Enjoy cool filtered water.
When one pitcher is empty fill it back up and put it back in the fridge. You will always have cold clean filtered water and never have to worry about plastic bottles.

"Only individuals choose and it was obviously their choice to drink bottled water."
Bullpoo. These companies have tricked us into thinking that our tap water is dirty and unhealthy. If you really dislike the taste of your tap water, buy a faucet water filter or those little packets of flavored dust.
(Honestly though, if you're so hopped up on sugared / flavored all the time that you can`t even enjoy the taste of regular water, then you should probably cut back.)

obviously... these people have never tasted NJ (northern) tap water, which has been proven to literally make people sick from drinking it. in northern NJ, they issue tap water bans and warnings, telling the public when it is and isn't safe to even BATHE in it!

Manufactured Demand? Uh, if people choose to buy bottled water, then so be it. Only individuals choose and it was obviously their choice to drink bottled water. Also, do you know how many chemicals they have to put into tap water? Even if it is just purified tap water, at least it's purified. Just another scare campaign to save the dying world. Aside from needing more trees and woods (I like mountain biking, I care about my interests too), we are all doing pretty well.
