Sam-- regardless of the tar amount, nicotine paralyze the cilia lining your lungs while you are smoking. These cilia "wash" out your lungs by moving in a sweeping motion to get everything to your upper lungs, where you cough it out. When these cilia aren't moving, everything you`re inhaling can get deeper into your airways and spread throughout your body that way.
Marijuana, as far as I know doesn`t contain nicotine. I don`t know really anyone that mixes their weed with tobacco, unless they are low or have potent weed and are rolling a joint. That`s just around me, obviously I don`t know what people do elsewhere.
Since weed isn`t regulated--no one knows for sure what they are smoking. So you can`t say smoking a random bag of weed will leave you with these side effects or without these side effects. People use all three drugs to feel better and they all pose health risks. Bah.

@WetSquirrel I'm dumb because I research on the internet to find facts about weed from reliable sources, instead of listening to hearsay or people`s assumptions and opinions? with regards mental health, weed is worse. physical health, cigarettes are worse, simply because people smoke more cigarettes than joints. I know what weed does to you, I smoked so much at university I became addicted to it. Every morning I woke up, I would have a bong because I wanted that high again. Also considering tobacco is the main ingredient of a joint, there is no difference. I`ve seen friends start on weed, then they go onto ecstasy and speed, ketamine, acid and then finally heroin or cocaine. It`s not nice to see.

Sam, you seem to be a complete dumbass of a tool, so you'll probably never change your opinion on weed. Only advice I can give you is to go smoke a joint, then smoke a cigarette. Once you`ve smoked both, try saying cigarettes are healthier than weed... Douche
