These type of scandals in American government go back to the earliest days of American government, and in the grand scheme of things...this is so minor it's almost ludicrious. Hell, Bill Clinton kept his job, and he was impeached by the house after perjuring himself and flat-out lying to the American people.

The American people have expectations that deservedly have merit: The people that we send to Washington to REPRESENT their constituents are--and should be--expected to carry themselves in a respectable, mature, and above all, a DIGNIFIED manner. More frequent than even just twenty years ago, we are seeing the cheapening of our federal government. Every time it happens, the people get more and more complacent about it, and that is--as we speak right now--turning our nation into a cesspool with no standards. To me, it reeks like an old French whore...
