Baal: A 75% literacy rate may have been good back then, But today it's pretty bad. Except for the former soviet republics, Only 2 islamic countries today exceed 90% literacy.

Ok, Xi, this might be the last response for a while, feel free to email questions or rebuttals.
Dark ages: See my comment to Lazyme. That's one half of my response. The other half is that it works in two ways too.
When was the first time the Burka became enforced anywhere on earth? 1990.
When was the first time it was ever even suggested women be segregated in the grand mosque in Saudi? ~2007 (couldn`t find the source, but it was big news a couple of years back, and huge protests. I put 2007 down as a "max").
Islam is a thousand years older than most stereotypes tagged to it.
If you argue that Saudi is in the Dark ages... yeah, I could accept that argument, but it`s simply not true of other places.
