those who do believe in climate change:
stop trying to persuade those who don't believe in it that its real over the internet, and do something about it instead.

those who don`t believe it:
well you can do what you like i guess...

Hey, they're scientists, so they must be right, right? Meteorologists can`t even predict tomorrow`s weather or temperature with the accuracy that many climatologists are trying to claim.

Anthropogenic global warming is a theory, and unlike gravity, has very little substantial data to back it up. While carbon dioxide levels are undoubtedly higher and the temperature has risen, so have other factors such as solar intensity. It also seems interesting that these "climate scientists" seem committed to attributing global warming to CO2 but not on H2O which is a much more effective greenhouse gas and increases in our atmosphere as temperature increases which in theory would be a positive feedback cycle.

Bottom line: I think most people have a tendency to overreact when it comes to a hot button issue like this. Obviously we`re going to have some effect on our own climate, however the likelihood of it having disastrously unmanageable results is not great.

I had a whole thing written, but re-reading it, it was mean, so I didn't post it. Crakr, good night, and I thank my lucky stars the world isn`t made up of people like you.

See you in Church, buddy.

davymid: Science can no more predict future climate anymore than earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, or what I'll eat for lunch tomorrow.

Statistical probabilities maybe, but it`s still chance. I don`t see people fleeing San Francisco even though the probability of another 1906 size quake is high.

So keep on scaremongering, The more you, and others like you do, the bigger the downfall in credibility later.

Any scientific minded person should be a skeptic of fear mongering, after all it`s what you accuse religion of doing all the time.

Crakrjak, your own dude, in your own link, admits that he's nothing more than "retired engineer with access to the Internet". Yes, he`s apparently "published", in newspapers, best I can tell that is all. Very different from peer-reviewed scientific journals. The paper that he is in turn citing (you know, the actual peer-reviewed scientific one) makes no such claims of cooling on climatological scale. Also, your retiree non-scientist layman bleats about being correct on a cold October. Please, for the love of all that is holy, go look up the difference between weather and climate.

Try going to Las Vegas and predicting what a roulette wheel will do based on it`s past results then.

With all due respect, if that`s seriously your understanding of what science is, then I`m done holding your hand. You`re over 40 dude. You`re meant to know this sh*t by now.
