Yes, a data mine. When 11 or so Pakistani Air Force pilots went missing from from an American military base. They found most of them via face book. Many of them had help from a local Mexican gang in disappearing. I'm not a conspiracy nut but when I see smoke, I think fire.

If you don`t think the gov`t has intelligence gathering deals with FB, you`re stupid. Let`s call it one of many arms for data gathering.

Hell if not for the gov`t.. something worse like.. google..

Yeah. Facebook sells your info to advertisers only! If the govt wanted it, facebook would be like "F off government! That wanted person who isnt at home doesnt want you questioning a list of contacts that the perp made themselves." although i doubt facebook was created for this purpose, it could definitely be used to gather information for government authorities.

Since the government does not already have your name, social security number, address etc.

So the goverment keeps tabs on you then? Erm... ok, why? Or maybe they do it to find out why you`re lying on FB? Ever thought about that?

It has and will be used for potential employers to see how a person "really" is. There has been funny pictures of people being fired due to something stupid they have said. I personly know three people that lost their jobs at the same time for makeing a video and pictures of mucking around at work posted them on FB and it was shown to the boss. Maybe people should police the content they allow themself to post..
