"One million people died in Iraq, Crakr." WHEN?! I hope you aren't talking about US caused civilian fatalities. That`s like, 100k? War is hell. Only 100,000 civilian casualties? Sorry, that`s not so bad then.
SOOOOOOOOOOOO no. Iraq was legal, and approved by the UN.
The invasion of Iraq was entirely illegal under international law, and you`re a f*cking liar for saying otherwise AJ.
davymid: I`m NOT condoning water boarding, I`m being comparative and subjective. No one has died from being water boarded in Gitmo, Nor have any of them been left with scars
No, they`re entirely healthy after their ordeal.
Dude, you missed your calling. You should have worked for MI5 in Northern Ireland, where I grew up. You would have been in your element.

I am horrified by the way everyone immediately reacted by shouting "shut up!" and "get out of here!". Heaven forbid someone should stand up for what's right in this godforsaken country.

Want to protest go for it... outside the building, scream shout picket go nuts. But she was invited for a speech, was inside giving a lecture to people and should be given courtesy to give the speech.

davymid: I'm NOT condoning water boarding, I`m being comparative and subjective. No one has died from being water boarded in Gitmo, Nor have any of them been left with scars, or damaged physically at all. Once again, insurgents/terrorists do NOT have Geneva convention protections under international law.
Student_Law: Wikipedia states that only 22,313– 23,826 insurgents are dead due to US military action. You failed to mention that the million deaths, that you quoted, have came from suicide bombings and insurgents killing civilians, NOT coalition forces.

"Nobody really has any good answers as to why Iraq was attaced."
The beginning of the war was based on bad British Intelligence, which at the time had the locations, and types, of WMD. When this info was found to be erroneous (and we were already at full power at the time), the focus of the war shifted to finding Saddam at the behest of the Iraqi people (yes they asked us to stay and find him) so he could be put on trial for the murder of the Kurds.
SOOOOOOOOOOOO no. Iraq was legal, and approved by the UN.
