Led Zeppelin: Were They Just Rip-Off Artists?. Were they geniuses? Or did they just steal whole songs for fun and profit? Listen to the overwhelming evidence!

My comp was down for days with a virus :(
Curses @davymid! I'll fool you yet! (lolz! I joke! I submit LOTS of non-political stuff too, eh?)
The issue is that they failed to give credit (and a couple of bucks) to the artists they covered or sampled from. If they had, they wouldn`t have lost the suits.
OTOH perhaps it was a cleaver ploy: Hey, we`ll make lots of money, then share it, tax-free, with the origional guys through lawsuits!

I like the K. Pilkington quote, but...LZ never gave credit where it was due. That's why they got their asses sued.
The Rolling Stones LOVED the blues, but they put their own twist on it--didn`t just call it their own creation--& really advocated for the OG Bluesmen (Muddy Waters, et al). I have always loved LZ`a zound--& still do--but they should`ve f*cking owned up & given proper credit (legally).
What would some of you be saying if Run DMC tried to act like they themselves wrote every word & musical note of "Walk this Way"?
If you love music, then you MUST get what I`m sayin.
