A world winning Goldberg machine that goes from 'Medieval era` to World War 2? I don`t think so...

Euro-centric history of the world, FTW.

(But, I have to ask how bad was the 2nd place finisher?)

isn't the whole concept behind a rube goldberg is that it`s a complicated machine to do a simple task? i never saw it.

The filming didn't cut it, I`m not at all convinced by the use of electrics the observer can`t see the workings of... so, uhm, not that good, imo. I like Honda`s Goldberg a lot better. Even though it had to be made in two takes (but the two are beautifully meshed), it was done without CGI and without electronics you were not exactly sure of for which movements they were responsible.
