I'm going to favorite this page for the comments, very instructive indeed. I used to do vinaigrette and drink it solo. olive oil, good vinegar, salt, pepper, crushed garlic and sometimes french mustard from dijon. but water is the most important.

Step 1: Don't drink beyond your current tolerance limit (aka binge drinking) Step 2: Eat a meal after you`ve been drinking (high in fat, protein and carbs - Burgers! Pizza! Fried Chicken!) Step 3: Keep at least 32 ounces of ice cold water by your bed for when you wake up periodically with cotton mouth (the water should be gone by the time you get out of bed in the morning). Step 4: Sleep with the air conditioning on high or with the heat off (regulating your body temperature while you`re asleep keeps your metabolism going to transform the dirty stuff into pee). This from a borderline functional alcoholic.

Depends on the hangover. Light hangover: Tequila sunrise (great for marathon drinking, vacations, etc) and an omelette. Medium hangover: Coca-Cola and greasy food. Heavy hangover: Watered down orange juice and Advil. Food later...
