Or even if there isn't a safety risk, if this "treatment" hasn`t been medically tested, then I can`t see how the doctor can justafiably recommend it without the full facts of the potential consequences. Yes, anecdotally, you all know that acetone will remove it...but do you REALLY want your doctors prescribing treatments to you based on anecdotes? The doctor here knew that the safest thing to do was leave it to come off in time. Safety > a few days of embarrassment.

insanmonster Male, 18-29, Midwest US 260 Posts	Thursday, March 31, 2011 12:46:48 AM it has been bothering my quite a bit why that doctor didn't tell him right away to go home and rub nail polish remover on it (you know those guys had some) and then it hit me, that Doctor probably knew that acetone takes off super glue. He was just having a little fun with stupid people. If I was as quick thinking as this Doctor I would do the same.
