@ bowski, the bill isn't encouraging an investigation into every miscarriage, it was written to address clinical abortions and intended terminations. Most miscarriages wouldn`t be logged or even reported. But in the case that a questionable event was investigated, it wouldn`t be difficult (or harmful to the woman) to determine whether the death was natural, intentional, or a result of neglect.

@ crystemp and Phoneybone: I think both of you missed the part about the mother having the burden of proof showing that she did everything possible to prevent the miscarriage. So much for Conservatives wanting government out of our personal lives, eh?
