All you need to say is you'd die from hyperkalemia from ingesting too many bananas before ever dying from radiation poisoning.

Why not just give the scientists space suits? Surely +40 Rad resistance should give them more time

[quote">Oh god.
I've just eaten fifty thousand bananas.

Time to put my affairs in order.[/quote">

I think you might pull through. According to this page you`d need to eat about 50 million bananas in one sitting to suffer radiation sickness.

Being the kind of person I am, I decided to see if I could find out how many banana-equivalents of radioactive potassium a person carries around with them in their body:

i) A banana contains about 420mg of Potassium.

ii) Humans are about 0.2% Potassium.

iii) The proportion of isotopes is the same in Potassium in humans as it is in Potassium in bananas.

So a 70Kg person contains 140g of Potassium, or 333 banana-equivalents.

Forget metric - let`s switch over to the banana units system!

Ah, it's r66tramp, my own personal pet troll! Isn`t he cute? He loyally follows me around everywhere. It`s quite touching. I shall feed him cookies.
